feature request: notification of new event creation from select accounts

Ideally a good event system would send alert me somehow when specific people/accounts create a new event so I'm not finding out mid-event. I suspect this would mean creating the ability to:

• follow accounts
• select type of notification (if more than email is an option)
• e-mail system (I know this has an entire extra layer of tasks)
