Are sites supported on self-hosted Knots?

walking deploy dir: lstat /tmp/tangled-sites-156351723/public: no such file or directory

I'm attempting to serve a site from a repo located on a self-hosted Knot, but it appears that it can't be found.

Based on the error message, I'm assuming it's being looked for on Tangled's Knot and, so, serving from a self-hosted Knot is unsupported. The documentation doesn't make that clear, though.
